Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 7-10 Tbsp Ingredients for about 8 scones:
  • 75 g Walnut kernels
  • 100 g Blue cheese
  • 280 g Flour
  • 2 1/2 TSP. Baking Powder
  • 1 TEASPOON Sugar
  • 3/4 TEASPOON Salt
  • 1 TEASPOON coarsely ground black pepper
  • 125 g cold butter (diced)
  • 200 g cold whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Line baking tray with baking paper. Coarsely chop the nuts. Crumble cheese. Mix 280 g flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl

  2. 2

Add cold butter to the flour mixture. Grate with your fingertips until crumbly. Do this quickly! First briefly stir in the cream, then add the nuts. Stir only as long as necessary,

  3. 3

    until the dough just forms

  4. 4

Pour the dough onto a lightly floured work surface. The dough is a little dry, which is good. Knead it a little bit and form it quickly with your hands to a surface (about 1 cm thick). Spread cheese on top. Whip the left and right third of the dough one after the other over the middle and press lightly. Now form the dough into a circle about 3 cm thick. Cut into about 8 pieces. Place on the tray

  5. 5

Bake in a hot oven for 15-18 minutes until the biscuits have slightly coloured. If necessary, cover with kitchen paper after about 10 minutes baking time. Take them out and let them cool down for at least 10 minutes on a cake rack
