Berries selected. Mix with vanilla sugar and lime juice, up to 1 teaspoon, and let stand. Beat egg white and remaining lime juice until very stiff. Slowly pour in the sugar while stirring. Spread the berries on four small ovenproof baking trays. Spread the meringue mixture with a tablespoon in a cloudy pattern. Sprinkle with almonds and bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes.
