Beet pulp with minced steak and onion rings

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 small rutabaga (about 700 g)
  • 3 (approx. 300 g) Carrots
  • 750 g Potatoes
  • 1 TEASPOON Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 2 Onions
  • 600 g mixed mince
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TEASPOON medium hot mustard
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt and pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Nutmeg
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 200-250 ml Milk
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Butter

Directions

    For the turnip puree, peel, wash and roughly dice the turnip, carrots and potatoes. Cook in boiling water covered with vegetable stock for about 20 minutes.

    For the minced steaks, peel onions. Finely dice 1 onion, cut the other one into thin rings. Knead minced meat, egg, diced onion, mustard and breadcrumbs. Season with about 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Form approx. 12 flat minced steaks from it.

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Fry the minced steaks in it in 2 portions at medium heat for 8-10 minutes on each side. Put the finished minced steaks in a hot oven.

    Fry the onion rings in hot frying fat while turning them golden brown. Drain vegetables and potatoes. Add milk and butter, bring to the boil. Mash coarsely with a potato masher. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

    Dress everything.
