Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 150 g Flour
  • 220 ml Milk
  • 3 Bananas
  • 300 g Couverture
  • 100 g Almond slivers
  • 1 TABLESPOON Coconut oil

Directions

  1. 1

Preparation: - You should take the ingredients out of the refrigerator beforehand so that they have reached room temperature when prepared. - Measure/weigh and prepare all ingredients. Chop the chocolate into small pieces so that it melts easier. - Prepare a pan

  2. 2

The pancake batter: Cream the eggs with vanilla sugar.

  3. 3

Slowly add flour, milk and a pinch of salt and stir in until the dough starts to beat small bubbles. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

Briefly mix the dough one more time.

  5. 5

Heat the oil/coconut oil in a pan and pour in the batter until the bottom of the pan is covered. Fry the pancakes on each side until golden brown and let them cool down.

  6. 6

The canapés: Melt the couverture in a bain-marie. Peel the bananas and cut them lengthwise into quarters or halves, just as you like.

  7. 7

Once the chocolate has melted and the bananas are prepared, you can make a pancake and spread it with the chocolate coating.

  8. 8

Then place the banana at one end of the pancake and roll it tightly into the pancake. You can now carefully cut the pancake roll into canapés with a knife, stabilise it with toothpicks if necessary and lay it out to dry.

  9. 9

As soon as your canapés are dry, they are stable in shape thanks to the solidified chocolate coating. Now you can coat them with the remaining liquid couverture at the ends to seal and decorate them.

  10. 10

Now, just a moment more patience. The couverture has to dry one last time and your banana split canapés are ready to serve and eat.

  11. 11

Of course there are no limits to your creativity. Instead of banana, you can also hide other fruits in the pancake or fill the snacks with coconut cream or nuts, for example. Try it out and enjoy it! The canapés taste best fresh from the fridge right after preparation.
