Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 1 Camembert (approx. 250 g each) in a wooden bowl
  • 2 stem(s) Thyme
  • 1 branch/s Rosemary
  • 1/2 Baguette (approx. 125 g each)
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 3 TSP clarified butter
  • 1 glass (à 370 ml) Gherkins

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven (electric cooker: 180 °C/circulating air: 160 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Roll out the cheese and bake in the wooden tray on a baking tray in a hot oven for about 10 minutes. Wash herbs, shake dry. Pluck off leaves or needles. Remove cheese from the oven, cut crosswise and fold the rind corners outwards. Sprinkle the inside with herbs. Continue baking for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

Cut the bread into thin slices. Peel and halve the garlic and rub the bread slices vigorously with it. Heat clarified butter little by little in a pan. Fry the bread in it in portions until golden brown. Remove the cheese. Serve with cucumbers and baguette to dip into. Boiled potatoes and Black Forest Ham for non-vegetarians are also delicious.
