Cut the dough sheet into approx. 40 cubes of the same size and turn into balls. Place on two baking trays lined with baking paper and press flat with a fork. Bake one after the other in a preheated oven (electric: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 12-15 minutes.
The snowflakes should only tan slightly at the base, otherwise they should remain light. Mix icing sugar and aniseed and sieve onto a large plate. Roll the hot snowflake cookies briefly in icing sugar and let them cool down.
Keep cool and dark in tins. Results in about 40 cookies.
