Zucchini cheese pan with bacon

Ingredients

Servings: 3
  • 3-4 Courgettes (about 900 g)
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 1 package (100 g) Bacon (e.g. "Breakfast Bacon")
  • 2-3 stem(s) fresh or 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Whipped cream
  • 1-11/2 Tsp Vegetable broth
  • 100 g grated cheese (e.g. "gratin cheese with
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mozzarella & Emmental)

Directions

    Wash and clean the zucchini and slice them into thin slices on a household grater. Peel and chop garlic and onion. Heat the oil in a wide frying pan

    Halve the bacon slices crosswise. Fry the bacon pieces in the pan until crispy and take them out again. Sauté garlic and onion in bacon fat until translucent

    Add the zucchini and fry for 3-4 minutes while turning. Wash and pluck the thyme. Season zucchini with salt, pepper and thyme. Add 200 ml water, cream and stock

    Bring to the boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Fold in bacon and sprinkle everything with cheese. Cover and let it melt for about 5 minutes. Tastes good with fresh baguette
