Ingredients

Servings: 30
  • 250 g Butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 knife tip ground aniseed
  • 1 knife tip ground cloves
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated peel of 1 untreated orange
  • 150 g Icing sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Orange liqueur
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film

Directions

    Mix butter in flakes and sugar carefully with the whisk of the hand mixer. Add egg and flour and knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Season with aniseed, cloves and orange peel. Work into a smooth short pastry. Wrap in foil and chill for about 30 minutes. Then roll out to a thickness of approx. 5 mm on a lightly floured work surface. Cut out fir trees, snowflakes and reindeer as desired.

    Place on 3 baking trays lined with baking paper and make small holes. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes. Let them cool down. Stir icing sugar, liqueur and lemon juice until smooth. Decorate the cookies with this mixture as desired. Dust with icing sugar and hang up with ribbon
