Cream fat and sugar. Add eggs, vanillin sugar, salt and rum bake. Melt the chocolate in a warm water bath, stir into the mixture and add the flour mixed with baking powder and sieved.
Coarsely chop the candied walnuts and fold into the dough. Grease baking tray and spread the dough on a 30x40 cm surface. To prevent the dough from running apart, fold a bar of extra strong aluminium foil and press it in front of the open edges of the dough.
Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 35 minutes. Melt the chocolate coating in a warm water bath. Cut cake into small pieces and cover with chocolate coating. Press one walnut half each into the moist icing.
Results in about 60 pieces.
