Vanilla semolina pudding with cherries

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1/2 l Milk
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) Butter
  • 40 g Semolina
  • 1 glass (370 ml) Cherries
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of cornflour
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon sugar

Directions

    Bring milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar, vanillin sugar, salt and butter to the boil. Stir in semolina and bring to the boil again. Cover and swell for about 5 minutes at low heat

    Drain the cherries and collect the juice. Stir starch and approx. 3 tbsp. juice until smooth. Boil up the rest of the juice. Stir in the starch and simmer for about 1 minute while stirring. Fold in the cherries. Let cool down if necessary.

    Separate the egg. Beat the egg white until stiff, then pour in 1 tbsp. sugar. Mix egg yolk with 2 tbsp. semolina, then stir into the remaining semolina. Fold in the beaten egg white. Let it cool down if necessary. Serve with the cherries and cinnamon sugar
