Toast Caprese (sandwich)

Ingredients

  • 75 g dried tomatoes in oil
  • 4 Stem(s) Basil
  • 150 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g green olives, without stone
  • 8 discs (30 g each) Toast
  • 4 TSP Tomato paste
  • 120 g Parma ham slices

Directions

    Drain the tomatoes thoroughly. Wash the basil, put 2 stems aside. Pluck the remaining leaves from the stems and cut into fine strips. Cut mozzarella into slices. Cut tomatoes into strips.

    Cut the olives in half lengthwise. Spread half of the bread slices with tomato paste and cover with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil strips and ham. Place the rest of the bread on top. Bake the bread in portions in the sandwich maker for 3-5 minutes until golden brown, let it cool down briefly, cut in half diagonally and garnish with the remaining basil.
