Steak skewers in beer marinade with green chili sauce^

Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 150 ml dark beer (e.g. Stout)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Lime juice
  • 2 TABLESPOONS demerara sugar
  • 10 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Chipotle powder
  • 2 TEASPOONS Sweet peppers
  • 2 1/2 TSP. Cumin
  • 1/4 TEASPOON Pepper
  • 4 Rump steaks (approx. 300 g each)
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 collar Coriander
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Shashlik skewers

Directions

    For the marinade, peel the garlic and press 1 clove through a garlic press. Mix beer, lime juice, sugar and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with chipotle powder, paprika, 2 tsp. cumin and pepper

    Dab rump steaks dry and quarter them crosswise. Soak the meat in a prepared marinade and chill for at least 1 hour

    For the chilli sauce, wash and clean the peppers, cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Finely dice the flesh. Wash coriander, shake dry, cut leaves from the stalks and chop finely. Press the remaining garlic through a garlic press. Mix 8 tbsp. oil, pepperoni, coriander and garlic. Season well with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp cumin

    Remove meat from the marinade, dab dry, season with salt and place on skewers. Grill on the hot grill for about 5 minutes, turning. Arrange meat and chilli sauce. Served with salad
