Spaghetti with mushrooms and fried halloumi

Ingredients

  • 500 g brown mushrooms
  • 80 g Walnut kernels
  • 1 package (225 g) Halloumi cheese
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 3 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 350 g Spaghetti Noodles
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarsely ground pepper
  • 300 g Fresh cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar

Directions

    Clean and clean the mushrooms and cut them into thick slices. Coarsely chop the walnuts. Cut Halloumi into cubes (about 1.5 cm). Peel garlic and chop finely. Wash thyme, shake dry.

    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the packet. Measure 150 ml of boiling water before draining. Drain the noodles and let them drain.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Sauté the mushrooms in it while turning. Season with salt and pepper. Add thyme, crème fraîche and measured cooking water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

    In the meantime, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a second pan. Sauté the Halloumi in it while turning. Add the walnuts and fry briefly. Season sauce with salt, pepper and sugar. Fold in the noodles and heat up.

    Serve, add Halloumi and walnuts, sprinkle with pepper.
