Ingredients

  • 200 g Flour
  • 60 g Sugar
  • 1 package Citro-back
  • 100 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 7-10 Tbsp (Size S)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film
  • 200 g Icing sugar
  • 1 Protein
  • 7-10 Tbsp blue and yellow food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp yellow sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp red and brown sugar writing

Directions

    Knead flour, sugar, citro-back, fat and egg yolk. Wrap the dough in foil and leave to cool for approx. 30 minutes. Roll out thinly on a floured work surface for approx. 5 mm. Make a template for a moon (approx. 18.5 cm high). Lay on the dough and cut out the moon. Cut out many stars in different sizes from the remaining dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 10 minutes. Let it cool down. Mix icing sugar, egg white and 1 teaspoon water. Remove 2 tablespoons of it and colour it blue, colour the rest of the icing yellow. Brush the moon and stars in colour. Sprinkle some stars with yellow sugar. Draw in the lashes and mouth of the moon with sugar writing
