Rump steak with Brussels sprouts

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 4 Hoof steaks (approx. 200 g each)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 800 g Brussels sprouts
  • 75 g Hazelnut kernels
  • 1 TABLESPOON Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarse pepper

Directions

    Dab the meat dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large coated pan. Brown the meat in it. Then fry over medium heat for about 8 minutes on each side.

    Clean and wash the Brussels sprouts and cut them crosswise on the stem. Cook the sprouts in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Chop hazelnuts coarsely. Heat the fat in a pan and fry the nuts. Drain and drain the Brussels sprouts, add to the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes at medium heat, season with salt and pepper.

    Arrange sprouts, nuts and meat on plates and sprinkle with coarse pepper.
