Clean and wash the potatoes and leek. Cut or slice the potatoes in pencils. Cut the leek into rings, the sausage into cubes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the diced slices briefly. Add leek and braise for 1-2 minutes while turning.
Mix in half of the potato pegs and season with salt, pepper and thyme. Put them into a greased casserole dish and spread the remaining potatoes on the mixture. For the glaze, mix milk, eggs, cheese, some salt and pepper and pour evenly over the potato crust. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 200 °C / gas: level 3) for 50-60 minutes
