Ingredients

  • 500 g waxy potatoes (e.g. trout, Cilena)
  • 300 g Apples
  • 2 Onions
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp dried or fresh marjoram and thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 100 g Bacon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Herbs

Directions

    Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Wash apples. Cut out the core. Cut apples into thin slices. Peel onions, cut into thin rings. Mix the cream with the herbs and spices.

    Place potato, apple and onion slices in a flat, round ovenproof dish (26 cm Ø) in flakes. Pour cream over them. Cook in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 45 minutes.

    Cut the bacon into thin strips. In a frying pan without fat, leave it crispy and sprinkle over the gratin. Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
