Peel, wash and halve the potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, wash the chops, dab dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the chops in it for about 5 minutes on each side. In the meantime, grate the cheese. Cut the ham into medium-sized cubes. Peel and finely dice onion. Remove the chops, spread the cheese mixture on top and bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 8-10 minutes.
