Drain the plums. Stir fat and sugar until creamy. Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix flour, ground almonds and baking powder. Stir into the fat and egg mixture. Put the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø) and smooth it down. Spread 300 g plums on top.
Use the rest of the plums for other purposes. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 35-45 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on a cake rack. Roast the almonds in a pan without fat until golden brown, let them cool down. Sprinkle the cake with almonds, dust with icing sugar and decorate with melissa. Whipped cream tastes good with it
