Pizza toast with ham

With ready-made tomato sauce a great dinner for lazy people, or a delicious snack for the TV evening: pizza toast. We say it again and again, happiness is melted cheese - preferably on toast.

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON Olive oil
  • 1 package (200 g) strained tomatoes
  • 1 TEASPOON Tomato paste
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 75 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 100 g Mushrooms
  • 1 TEASPOON Butter or margarine
  • 4 discs Toast
  • 1 TEASPOON dried basil

Directions

    Peel and chop the onion. Heat the oil. Sauté onion in it. Deglaze with strained tomatoes and tomato paste. Reduce for about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Cut ham into pieces.

    Dice the cheese. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into small pieces. Heat the fat. Sauté the mushrooms for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Roast toast slices until golden brown. Spread with tomato sauce.

    Add mushrooms, ham, cheese and basil. Place the toasts on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for approx. 10 minutes.
