Roast sesame seeds in a pan until golden brown, let them cool down. Cream fat and sugar. Add eggs bit by bit. Stir in semolina and cinnamon. Fold in sesame seeds and pistachios. Grease a flat casserole dish.
Add the dough and smooth it down. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 175°/ gas: level 2) for 40 minutes. In the meantime, boil down sugar and a litre of water to make the syrup slightly thicker.
Season to taste with lemon juice and cinnamon. Pour the syrup over the hot cake, let it cool down. Cut into strips. Makes 20 pieces.
