Onion minced steak with gypsy sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 50 g Long grain rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 medium onion
  • 100 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1/2 red and green peppers (about 100 g each)
  • 1/2 (125 ml) Bottle of gipsy sauce
  • 7-10 Tbsp Parsley

Directions

    Soak rolls in water. Put rice in plenty of boiling salted water, cover and let it swell at low heat for about 20 minutes. In the meantime peel and halve the onion. Cut one part into rings, dice the rest finely.

    Squeeze out the bread roll and knead with minced meat, egg yolk and half of the onion cubes. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Form minced dough into a flat steak and fry on medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side.

    Add the onion rings about 4 minutes before the end of the frying time and fry them. In the meantime, clean, wash and cut the peppers into pieces. Heat the remaining oil in a pot and fry the remaining onions and peppers for about 5 minutes.

    Add sauce and bring to the boil. Arrange rice, minced steak and sauce on a plate and serve garnished with parsley.
