  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 125 ml Oil
  • 125 ml Egg liqueur
  • 150 g Flour

  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 100 g Couverture Chips
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 75 g Nut mixture
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Sift 125 g icing sugar. Beat the eggs and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer, adding the icing sugar by the spoonful until the mixture is thick and foamy. Slowly add the oil and egg liqueur and mix. Mix flour, starch and baking powder. Sieve onto the egg mixture and fold in until a smooth dough is formed.

Fold in chocolate coating chips. Grease a box form (1.5 litres capacity) and dust with flour. Pour in the dough and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 60-70 minutes. Let the finished cake rest in the pan for about 15 minutes. Turn out onto a cake rack and allow to cool completely. Melt the sugar in a pan until it is golden brown. Add nuts and mix with the caramel. Spread the mixture on baking paper and let it cool down. Chop the brittle roughly and decorate the cake with it.
