Onion balls for cauliflower casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 7-10 Tbsp slightly + 2 tablespoons (30 g) butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) Flour
  • 1/2 l milk, 5 eggs (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, nutmeg
  • 50-75 g grated gouda
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley
  • 500 g Ground pork
  • 1 Bag onion soup "gourmet style
  • 1 TEASPOON medium hot mustard
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS oil, 2 medium onions

Directions

    Clean and wash the cauliflower and divide it into florets. Put into a large greased casserole dish (approx. 30 cm long). Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan. Sauté the flour in it. Deglaze with milk while stirring. Bring to the boil and simmer briefly while stirring

    Separate 4 eggs. Remove sauce from heat, stir in egg yolks. Season sauce well. Beat egg whites until stiff, fold in carefully. Spread over the cauliflower and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: level 2) for approx. 45 minutes. Cover after approx. 30 minutes if necessary

    Wash and chop the parsley. Knead with mince, 1 egg, soup powder and mustard. Shape it into 16-20 balls

    Fry the balls in hot oil all around for about 8 minutes. Peel onions and cut them into rings. Keep balls warm. Fry onions in frying fat until golden brown. Arrange everything. Cranberries taste good with it
