Mocha nut balls

Ingredients

  • 50 g Icing sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 100 g Cornstarch
  • 60 g Flour
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Espresso powder (instant)
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 1 TEASPOON Cocoa
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 50 Hazelnut kernels
  • 100 g Dark chocolate coating
  • 1 (100 g) bag cake glaze hazelnut (v. Schwartau)
  • 50 g Mocha beans (dark v. Schwartau)

Directions

    Knead powdered and vanilla sugar, cornstarch, flour, espresso, cinnamon, cocoa, salt and fat in flakes to a smooth dough. Form into 2 rolls (approx. 15 cm long) and chill for approx. 1 hour. Cut the dough rolls into 25 slices and roll 1 nut in each. Place balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 15 minutes, then allow to cool.

    Coarsely chop the chocolate coating and melt in a hot water bath. Melt the glaze in a water bath as well and mix lightly with the couverture. Dip the mocha biscuits in it. Pour the rest of the glaze into the couverture and mix only slightly. Decorate the cookies with mocha beans and let them dry on a grid
