Minced steaks with cabbage

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 4 large potatoes (about 200 g each)
  • 300 g Carrots
  • 750 g White cabbage
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil
  • 4-6 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Maple syrup
  • 1 TEASPOON Tabasco
  • 1 washer Toast
  • 600 g minced beef
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 100 g diced ham
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1⁄2 Federation Chives
  • 400 g sour cream

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and cook with the skin covered for 25-30 minutes.

    Peel, wash and slice the carrots. Clean and wash the cabbage and cut into wide strips from the stalk. Onions peel, chop. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot. Fry the carrots, cabbage and half the onions for about 10 minutes.

    Deglaze with 200 ml water. Season with soy sauce, maple syrup and Tabasco. Bring to the boil, cover and stew for about 10 minutes.

    Soak toast in cold water. Knead minced meat, rest onion, egg, ham and expressed toast. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 flat steaks from the minced meat mass with moistened hands.

    Spread a large grill pan with 1-2 tablespoons of oil and heat it up. Fry the minced steaks for about 4 minutes on each side.

    Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Season cabbage with salt and pepper to taste. Drain the potatoes, cut lengthwise and break open slightly. Spread the sour cream into the potatoes.

    Arrange everything and sprinkle with chives. Drink tip: beer, e.g. a strong malty export.
