Lahmacun (Turkish pizza) with veal

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 250 g Greek cream yoghurt
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 Spring onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 6 Stem(s) Parsley
  • 200 g Beefsteak minced meat
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Paprika flakes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 1 knife tip Cumin (cumin)
  • 4 thin flat bread or wraps (approx. 45 g each)
  • 150 g marinated veal gyros (from the butcher)
  • 100 g Cucumber
  • 200 g White cabbage
  • 100 g Iceberg lettuce
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 green, mild or hot peppers (glass)
  • 75 g Sheep's cheese
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sumac or pepper flakes to sprinkle

Directions

    Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Mix yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of oil and garlic. Season with salt and pepper

    Clean, wash and finely chop the spring onion. Wash, clean and quarter 1 tomato. Remove the seeds from the tomato quarters and finely dice the flesh. Wash parsley, dab dry, remove leaves and chop finely

    Mix minced meat, paprika flakes, paprika powder, cumin, half parsley, tomato and spring onion. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread a thin layer of 1/2 tbsp. oil on each bread roll. Spread a thin layer of chopping mixture on top. Place 2 coated flat cakes on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 8 minutes, remove from oven

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan. Fry the meat for approx. 6 minutes, turning it over. Remove, season with salt and pepper if necessary and keep warm. Wash, clean and chop the cucumber. Wash, clean and chop 2 tomatoes. Clean cabbage and lettuce, cut into strips and wash. Knead cabbage with a little salt. Peel onion and cut into rings. Clean the pepperoni and cut into rings. Crumble feta cheese

    Cover Turkish pizza with meat, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, cabbage, onion and sheep's cheese as desired. Sprinkle with remaining parsley. Put some yoghurt dip on top, possibly sprinkle with some sumac or pepper flakes. Roll up and serve. Add the rest of the yoghurt dip
