Ingredients

  • 350 g Rye meal
  • 250 g Wheat flour (Type 1050)
  • 2 coated Tsp Salt
  • 1 heaped Tsp baking powder
  • 500 ml Buttermilk
  • baking paper

Directions

    Mix rye meal, flour, salt and baking powder. Add buttermilk. Knead everything into a smooth, supple dough. Form the dough into a round loaf. Cut with a sharp knife star-shaped about 1 cm.

    Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 50 minutes. Take out and let cool on a grid.

    Butter, cheese and salmon taste good with it.
