Herring salad \"Housewife style\"

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg waxy potatoes
  • 8 Eggs
  • 600 g Bismarck herring
  • 2 (approx. 350 g) Apples
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 4 medium gherkins
  • 3 Onions (e.g. red)
  • 2 Federation Dill
  • 75 g Salad Mayonnaise
  • 300 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Capers (glass)

    Wash the potatoes and cook for about 25 minutes. Boil the eggs for about 10 minutes. Both quench and peel

    Dice herring. Wash, quarter and core the apples. Cut into sticks and sprinkle with lemon juice. Cut cucumbers into slices. Peel and dice onions

    Wash the dill and cut finely, except for a little garnish. Mix mayonnaise, yoghurt, 6-7 tbsp. cucumber water, salt, pepper and chopped dill. Whip cream until half stiff, fold in

    Dice the potatoes. Mix with herring, apples, cucumber, onions and capers. Fold in dill cream sauce. Leave to stand for about 1 hour.

    Peel the eggs. Cut 1 egg into slices. Chop the remaining eggs roughly. Fold into the salad. Season to taste and serve. Garnish with egg slices and remaining dill
