Ingredients

Servings: 20
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 100 ml Oil
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 150 g Edible quark (20 % fat)
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sugar crystals
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Mix flour with baking powder. Add milk, oil, sugar, vanillin sugar and quark. Knead briefly with the dough hook of the hand mixer to a smooth dough. Cover and put in a cool place for about 10 minutes. Knead the dough on a floured work surface.

  2. 2

For the piglets: Roll out about 1/3 of the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm. Cut out 3 circles (6-7 cm Ø) with a small cup. Knead the leftover dough together and form snout, eyes and ears. For the ladders, form 6 rolls (10-12 cm long) and 15 rolls (3 cm long; rungs) from another 1/3 of the dough. From the remaining dough form horseshoes or cut out mushrooms as desired

  3. 3

Stir egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth. Spread the dough pieces with it and put them together to form piglets and ladders. Spread the pastry with egg yolk. Sprinkle with sugar crystals. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 15 minutes
