Ham and cheese ciabatta

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Italian white bread (e.g. ciabatta; approx. 250 g)
  • 2 discs Gouda cheese and cooked ham (approx. 40 g each)
  • 3 TSP frozen parsley
  • 3 eggs , 1/4 l milk (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, sugar
  • 1/2 Head green salad (e.g. romaine lettuce)
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 1 Stalk sage
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Herb Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon and basil

Directions

    Cut the ends of the bread. Cut bread into 4 thick slices. Cut a pocket in each slice. Remove the cheese rind. Cut cheese and ham in half. Fill the breads with 1/2 slice of ham, cheese and 1/2 teaspoon parsley

    Whisk eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Soak slices of bread in it for about 20 minutes. Turn more often

    Clean the salad, wash it and pluck it finely. Wash lemon, grate peel and squeeze juice. Mix juice, peel, salt, pepper and sugar. Stir in oil and 1 teaspoon of parsley

    Wash the sage, remove the leaves and cut into strips. Heat herb butter. Sauté sage in it and take it out. Fry breads on each side for about 2 minutes until crispy. Arrange with salad and salad dressing and garnish if necessary
