Grilled watermelon with bacon

Ingredients

  • 2 discs streaky smoked bacon
  • 200 g Fennel Tuber
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Fruit vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 400 g Watermelon

Directions

    Leave bacon in a pan without fat for about 5 minutes until crispy. Take out and drain on kitchen paper

    Wash and clean the fennel, cut off the fennel greens for sprinkling. Cut fennel into very thin slices and marinate with vinegar, salt, pepper and oil

    Cut the melon skin from the flesh. Cut the fruit flesh into 4 large pieces. Grill on the hot grill or in a hot grill pan for about 3 minutes, turning once. Arrange fennel and melon on plates. Crumble the bacon. Sprinkle bacon and fennel green over the plates
