Gratinated leek on potato puree

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 6 Leek sticks (leek; approx. 200 g each)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/4 l Milk
  • 1 pack of Mashed Potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 6 discs medieval Gouda cheese (approx. 40 g each)
  • 12 discs (approx. 50 g) Bacon
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarse pepper

Directions

    Clean and wash the leek and cook in boiling salted water for 5-8 minutes. Bring 1/2 litre of water and 1 teaspoon of salt to the boil. Add milk and stir in the puree flakes. Let it swell for about 1 minute and stir again. Flavour with nutmeg.

    Drain the leek sticks and wrap each with 1 slice of cheese and 2 slices of bacon. Fill the mashed potatoes into a piping bag with star-shaped spout and squirt into an ovenproof dish. Place leek sticks on top and bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-20 minutes. Wash parsley, dab dry and chop. Serve leek sticks sprinkled with parsley and pepper
