Fruit in Vodka

Ingredients

  • 150 g brown candy
  • 400-450 ml Vodka (38 % vol)
  • 450 g Cherries
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 (approx. 100 g) Nectarine
  • 1-2 stem(s) Lemon balm
  • 125 g Plums
  • 1 piece(s) (approx. 250 g) Charentais melon
  • 1-2 sticks of cinnamon

Directions

    Bring 200 ml water and rock candy to the boil in a small pot and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool down. Then add vodka. Wash the cherries, drain well and remove the stems.

    Prick the cherries with a fork. Wash the lime thoroughly and cut into thin slices. Wash nectarine thoroughly, cut into quarters, remove flesh from the stone and cut into slices. Wash lemon balm thoroughly, dab dry and pluck the leaves from the stalks.

    Wash and stone the plums and cut them into slices. Remove seeds from melon, peel and cut into slices or cut out balls as desired. Fill fruit, lemon balm and cinnamon into a closable container.

    Top it off with vodka. Close the container well and store in a cool and dark place.
