Fried chicken with cucumber salsa and chips

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken filets
  • 4 Chicken legs
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 7-10 Tbsp juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 60 g Flour
  • 125 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 l Frying oil
  • 200 g Cucumber
  • 100 g Salad Mayonnaise
  • 100 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 bunch Chives
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salad and lemon wedges
  • baking paper

Directions

    Wash the meat and dab dry. Peel garlic, dice finely and mix with lemon juice. Spread the chicken parts with it and let it steep a little. Dab meat dry and season with salt and pepper. Beat the eggs.

    Turn the chicken parts first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a pot. Fry the meat in the oil for about 5 minutes until light brown. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the chicken pieces on it. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 40 minutes. Wash the cucumber and cut into small cubes. Mix mayonnaise and yoghurt. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar. Wash the chives, cut into fine rolls and stir into the mayonnaise with the cucumber. Arrange fried chicken with lettuce and lemon on a plate.
