  • 1 cube (42 g) Yeast
  • 1/2 package (500 g) Baking mix Sunday mares
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 200 g Hazelnut kernels
  • 100 g Sesame
  • 1 TABLESPOON Milk
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour

Directions

    Crumble the yeast and dissolve in 200 ml lukewarm water. Add the baking mix and 1 egg. Knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer at highest speed for 3 minutes. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.

    Coarsely grind the hazelnut kernels. Set 3 tablespoons aside. Knead the dough on a floured work surface, incorporating the remaining hazelnuts and sesame seeds. Divide into 3 or 4 portions of equal size, form into rolls and braid them into a plait.

    Line baking tray with baking paper. Let the plait stand for another 20 minutes. Separate the second egg. Whisk egg yolk and milk. Spread the plait with it. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 50-60 minutes.
