Fig crown with Amarettini meringue

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 50 g Amarettini
  • 30 g Butter
  • 8 Figs (about 50 g each)
  • 1 Protein (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 60 g Sugar

Directions

    Coarsely crumble Amarettini. Melt butter in a pan, stir in 30 g Amarettini and remove from the heat. Wash the figs, dab dry and carve several times. Put the Amarettini butter crumbs in an ovenproof dish, place the figs on top and carefully press them apart a little.

    Beat egg white and salt until stiff. Add sugar and beat for another 2 minutes. Stir in 20 g Amarettini. Put a blob of beaten egg white on each fig. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 6 minutes.

    Remove and serve immediately. Vanilla ice cream tastes good with it.
