Farfalle with melons and bacon

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1/8 -1/4 Charentais melon
  • 70 g Breakfast bacon in slices
  • 400 g Noodles (e.g. Farfalle)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS sauce thickener
  • 3 Stem(s) flat leaf parsley

Directions

    Cut the melon pulp from the skin and remove the seeds. Cut the fruit flesh into small pieces. Cut bacon into strips. Prepare pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Fry bacon crisply in a pan without fat, remove and place on kitchen paper. Turn melon pieces briefly in the hot bacon fat, then take them out again. Pour cream and stock into the fat, season with salt and pepper.

    Thicken the sauce slightly with sauce thickener. Wash parsley, dab dry and cut the leaves into thin strips. Drain the noodles and divide them between 4 plates. Bring the sauce to the boil again. Add bacon and melon and pour over the noodles. Sprinkle with parsley strips
