Elderberry liqueur

Ingredients

  • 500 g fully ripe elderberries
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 150 g fine white tea candy
  • 1 (0,7 l) bottle of vodka

Directions

    Wash the elderberries thoroughly and remove them from the umbels with a fork. Place the berries in a pot. 1⁄4 Pour on l water, heat briefly (do not bring to the boil!). Drain well in a sieve and let cool down.

    Put the elderberries, vanilla sugar and rock candy into a clean, well-closed large glass. Pour in vodka (all ingredients must be covered with the vodka).

    Close the glass well and let the liqueur steep in a dark place for 6-8 weeks. Turn the glass carefully several times in between. Pour the liqueur through a fine sieve, squeezing the berries slightly. Pour the liqueur into a bottle.

    Shelf life 6-9 months.
