Chocolate football muffins

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 75 g Dark chocolate coating
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 50 g Cocoa powder
  • 75 ml Oil
  • 75 ml Buttermilk
  • 200 ml Black beer (e.g. Köstritzer)
  • 125 g Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp a few drops of green food colouring
  • 12 white paper baking cups

Directions

    Roughly chop the chocolate coating. Place the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk until thick and creamy

    Mix flour, baking powder and cocoa, stir in alternately with the oil. Add buttermilk and stir in. Stir in beer briefly. Fold in chocolate coating. Line the depressions of a muffin tray (12 depressions of 100 ml content each) with one baking tin each

    Spread the dough evenly and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for 17-18 minutes. Remove from the oven, place the muffin tray on a cake rack. Allow to cool for approx. 30 minutes, carefully lift the muffins out of the trays, place them on the cake rack and let them cool down

    Pass the icing sugar through a sieve. Mix with 5 tablespoons of water to a smooth glaze. Colour it grass-green with green food colouring. Spread the icing evenly over the muffins and leave to dry for about 1 1/2 hours. Decorate with wooden skewers with jerseys
