Chicken wings with apple-ginger dip

Ingredients

  • 16 Chicken wings (approx. 1,25 kg)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4-5 Tbsp Oil
  • 250 g Spring onions
  • 50 g Honey
  • 7-10 Tbsp a few squirts of Tabasco
  • 20 g Coconut flake
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger (5-10 g)
  • 1 (approx. 200 g) Apples
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1/2 -1 TEASPOON Sambal Oelek
  • 50 g Asia spicy sauce, sweet sour
  • 1/2 small lettuce

Directions

    Wash chicken wings, dab dry and season with salt. Place wings in a fat pan, drizzle with oil and roast in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 30-35 minutes.

    Clean and wash the spring onions, dab dry and cut the green part into fine rolls. Cut the lower part of the spring onions in half lengthwise. Mix honey and Tabasco, brush wings with it after 15-20 minutes and sprinkle with grated coconut.

    Add leek and onion halves to the wings and fry for about 10 minutes. Peel onion and ginger and dice finely. Wash and peel the apple and cut out the core. Cut apple into small pieces.

    Boil up the apple, onion, ginger, lemon juice, 100 ml water, sugar, Sambal Oelek and a little salt. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. Stir in the Asia sauce and season to taste with salt, sambal oelek, lemon juice and sugar.

    Clean, wash and drain the salad. Arrange wings and spring onions on top. Sprinkle dip with spring onion rings and serve extra. Fresh baguette tastes good with it.
