Directions

  1. 1

Peel and chop the onion. Peel and finely chop the garlic, then heat the oil in a large frying pan and add the onion and garlic Wash and dice the tomatoes and strawberries Once the onion and garlic are fried, add the diced strawberries and tomatoes, sugar, tomato paste and vinegar Simmer covered on medium heat for about 25 minutes. Add salt, pepper and, if necessary, a little chilli. Allow to cool, puree everything and sieve the mixture to avoid lumps Fry the red onion with a tablespoon of olive oil. Then add honey and let it caramelize. Remove the caramelized onion from the heat and set aside.

Prepare the burger patties on a grill or in a pan and place the cheddar cheese on top Divide the bread into two pieces and put mustard on the top half and ketchup on the bottom half. Place the lettuce and tomatoes on the ketchup. Put the caramelized onions and gherkins on the mustard. Place the patties with the cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Fold up. Enjoy with homemade chips.
