Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 150 g frozen puff pastry
  • 75 g medieval Gouda cheese
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 50 g Fresh cream
  • 150 g Low-fat curd
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sesame
  • 50 g Spring onions
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Place puff pastry sheets next to each other and allow to thaw. Grate cheese roughly. Mix the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of milk and spread it on the puff pastry sheets. Sprinkle the puff pastry with cheese and cut into 2 cm wide strips.

  2. 2

Turn each strip of puff pastry into a spiral. Place on two baking trays lined with baking paper and brush with egg yolk again. Bake in the preheated oven (electric: 200 °C / gas: level 3) for about 12 minutes each.

  3. 3

For the dip, mix crème fraîche, quark and remaining milk. Roast sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat until golden brown. Clean and wash spring onions and cut into rings. Stir both into the cream, except for a little garnish.

  4. 4

Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Season sesame dip with garlic, salt and pepper. Arrange cheese sticks on a plate. Serve the dip sprinkled with sesame seeds and spring onions.

  5. 5

    Results in about 10 pieces.
