Camembert corners with apple chutney

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1-2 (approx. 250 g) Apples
  • 2-3 stem(s) or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) Raisins
  • 50 g darker brown
  • 7-10 Tbsp Candy or sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON Mustard seeds
  • 6 tablespoons (60 ml) Vinegar (e.g. apple vinegar)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • 3 (125 g each; 30 % fat in dry matter) Camembert halves
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 50-75 g flaked almonds
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp some salad leaves

Directions

    Peel onions and cut them into rings. Wash, quarter, core and chop the apples. Wash, pluck and chop the thyme. Wash and drain the raisins

    Boil up onions, apples, raisins, candy, mustard seeds, thyme and vinegar. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste with salt and pepper

    Cut each camembert into 5-6 corners. Whisk the egg. Turn the cheese corners one after the other in flour, then in egg and finally in flaked almonds. Press the almonds slightly

    Heat the oil in a coated pan. Fry the cheese corners in it in portions from both sides until golden brown. Wash the salad, dab dry and arrange on plates. Arrange cheese and chutney on top
