Peel and finely chop the onion. Clean, wash and dice the soup greens and potatoes. Heat the fat in a pot and fry the vegetables in it. Add the barley and deglaze with the broth and bring to the boil.
Wash the ribs, dab dry, cut into pieces and add. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 1 hour. Season with salt, pepper and Worcester sauce. Wash parsley, chop finely and add to the soup.
