Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 round soft cheeses (150 g each; e.g. "Henri")
  • 1 (approx. 40 g) large slice of cooked ham
  • 1 egg, approx. 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4-5 Tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 75-100 g Lamb's lettuce
  • 4 cherry- or 2 small tomatoes
  • 75 g Mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON White wine vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS + approx. 1/2 l oil
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Cranberries (glass)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 orange
  • 1 TABLESPOON medium hot mustard

Directions

    Cut the cheese in half horizontally. From the ham cut out 2 circles in size of the cheese. Place each between two cheese halves. Whisk the egg. Turn the cheese first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs well. Put cheese in a cool place

    Clean and wash lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms. Halve or quarter tomatoes, cut mushrooms into thin slices. Peel and chop onion. Mix vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, salt, pepper and sugar. Stir in 1-2 tbsp. oil.

    Heat approx. 1/2 l oil in a high pot or in a deep fryer. Fry the cheese until golden brown. Let it drip off on kitchen paper. Mix cranberries, orange juice and mustard. Season with salt and pepper

    Mix prepared salad ingredients and vinegar-oil marinade. Cut cheese in half, arrange with salad and cranberry sauce. Serve with crispy white bread
