Baked rice with sauerkraut and ground pork

Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 200 g Long grain rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 (425 ml each) Glasses of sauerkraut
  • 100 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 500 g Pork sausage
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Prepare the rice in a good 400 ml of boiling salted water according to the package instructions.

    Preheat oven (electric cooker: 200°C/circulating air: 175°C/gas: level 3). Drain sauerkraut well. Finely dice bacon. Peel ##onion## and ##garlic## and also dice finely.

    Pluck ground pork in flakes. Pick sauerkraut apart with a fork. Mix with bacon, onion, garlic, ground pork and rice in a large bowl. Season with salt and ##pepper##.

    Place in a greased ovenproof casserole dish and bake in a hot oven for 35-40 minutes.
