Apple punch with cider, port wine and cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 2 Apples
  • 1/2 l clear apple juice
  • 100 ml white port
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 Anise stars
  • 400 ml Cider (sparkling cider)

Directions

    Wash the apples, grate them dry and cut out a slice of apple with stalk from the middle of each one. Cut the remaining apple halves into quarters and remove the core. Cut apples into pieces and put them in a pot together with apple juice, port wine, sugar, cinnamon sticks and aniseed stars and bring to the boil. Simmer at low heat for 3-4 minutes. Finally add cider and bring to the boil again briefly. Pour into punch glasses, decorate with apple slices and serve
