Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 1 sour apple (about 200 g)
  • 30 g (40 g) + 2 tablespoons butter
  • 225 g flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 125 g Whipped cream
  • 125 g + 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar, salt
  • 4 tablespoons (40 g) flaked almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 24 (5 cm Ø) Paper baking cups

Directions

    Place 2 paper cups inside each other and place them in the recesses of a muffin tray (for 12 pieces). Peel, quarter, core and finely dice the apple

    Melt 30 g butter over a mild heat. Leave to cool slightly. Mix flour and baking powder. Add eggs, cream, liquid butter, 125 g sugar, vanillin sugar and 1 pinch of salt and mix everything briefly. Fold in apple cubes

    Pour the dough into the moulds. Sprinkle with almonds and 2-3 tbsp. sugar. Spread 2 tablespoons of butter in pieces on top. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: level 3) for about 25 minutes. Let them cool down. Dust muffins with icing sugar
