Ingredients

  • 2.5 kg Apples
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 300 ml apple juice
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Honey

Directions

    Wash and quarter apples, remove core. Cut the quarter into small pieces. Boil apples, cinnamon stick, sugar and 300 ml water covered for 15-20 minutes until really soft. Pour the apple mixture into a fine sieve and leave to drain for a few hours (preferably overnight). If there is no fine sieve, you can also pour the mixture into a straining cloth or cotton cloth and place it in a sieve.

    Fill the strained juice with apple juice to 750 ml. Put the juice and honey in a pot and reduce to about 500 ml. Fill syrup hot into bottles and close them. Drink syrup diluted with water or sparkling wine

    8 hours waiting time. Bottle approx. 8900 kJ/2100 kcal. E 8 g/F 14 g/KH 467 g
